»It's a dreamlike place that doesn't seem real,« wrote the writer John Steinbeck about Positano. A place on the steep Amalfi Coast in the Italian province of Salerno. And in the centre of it all: Casa Orfeo, a place of power and the heart of the Kempff Cultural Foundation. The foundation awards scholarships for a stay at Casa Orfeo. The masterclasses are not masterclasses in the conventional sense, but are based on Wilhelm Kempff's artistic credo.
